I got into my car and looked at the time. It was already 1 pm and I had yet to hear anything from Brook’Lynn. I picked up my phone and dialed her number; she didn’t answer. I hope she’s ok, I figure maybe she was still on the plane and that’s why she didn’t pick up. I started my car and drove off. My next stop was the nail salon to make it to my appointment to get my nails, toes and eyebrows done. I got there and started on my toes first.

By the time I was done with everything it was after two. I had a little bit of time left, so I decided once I got home I was going to hop straight in the shower and take a nap until five. I had to be back at the shop at 6pm to let all of the catering companies in so they could set up. I pulled up to my house parked and went straight for the shower. For some reason the mail man had been on my mind since he left the shop. I wonder if he’s going to come tonight it would be nice, I thought to myself. I washed up and got out of the shower and went straight to my bed and went to sleep.

My alarm started to go off. I got up and headed straight to the bathroom and started freshening up. I decided to wear some white high waist fitted dress pants with a dressy crop top and the matching tuxedo blazer to the pants with my white peep toe shoes. I finished the look with my ruby red lipstick from Mac and I wore my hair into a high, neat, elegant bun. I grabbed everything I needed and was out the door. When I pulled up to the shop the caterers were already there setting up; everybody was running around putting the finishing touches on the shop and everything came together so perfectly. By the time everything was finished it was time to start the party. I went outside so I could cut the ribbon.

“Welcome everybody to the grand opening of The Glam Shop. It’s officially open everybody come on in” I said while cutting the ribbon and letting everybody in. The night was going nice and smooth. I mingled with several new faces and made new acquaintances.

“Congratulations again on your shop Ms. Harris” a familiar voice said to me. I turned around to see who it was and it was the delivery man. He looked completely different without his work uniform on. He had on a black button up with black dress pants and black and gold Giuseppe’s dress shoes on.

“Thank you and I’m glad to see that you were able to make it. Oh and please you can call me Chyna and your name is?” I asked him.

“My name is Chinkz,” he said as he smile and handed me a glass of champagne. His smile was everything; he had the kind of smile that will brighten your day if you were having a bad day.
